![]() ![]() The certification is correct when it says Hibernate doesn't work. ![]() So, if you're trying to tell the calibration software that it is, that's where your mistake is (you need to tell it you're using a Standard Gamut Display).Got one of these for work a few days ago, immediately wiped windows off it and put ubuntu on, running 10.10 (I would have gone with the most recent - but I have yet to find a machine running 11.04 that can successfully connect to a Xilinx JTAG pod). So, personally, I'd stick to a standard gamut display like your U2312HM (or a larger U2412HM) to avoid those types of issues, since the Dell displays like yours cover most of the sRGB color space anyway (and for online posting or printing in most third party printers, you'll want to use sRGB anyway).īut, again, your U2312HM is *not a Wide Gamut Display. You'll find *lots* of complaints about Wide Gamut display behavior in the forums here (and elsewhere). Of course, true Wide Gamut displays have their downsides, too (as colors will tend to be over saturated in non color managed apps, including the Windows desktop). You'd need to tell it that you're using a Standard versus Wide Gamut Display. So, it sounds like you're making an error in how you're defining the display to the calibration software. IOW, the U2312HM has similar coverage compared to the 24" U2412HM, where they both cover most of the sRGB color space.īut, you'd need to move up to a much higher end model like the U2410, which uses CCFL versus WLED backlighting (since White LEDs are not even capable of supporting a wider color gamut) with a different display panel type, to get a true Wide Gamut Display covering more than the sRGB color space. But, it's not considered to be a "Wide Gamut" display, where you'd have one covering most of the Adobe RGB color space, too. So, that's very good for a display using WLED backlighting and wider than many other similar displays. For example, note the coverage measured on this page: It covers around 94% of the sRGB color space from what I can see of reviews. The Dell U2312HM is *not* a wide gamut display. ![]() Message says, "you listed monitor as wide gamut in type but display appears to be normal". I have attempted the spyder 4 pro calibration unsuccessfully. ![]()
