The Mauto − National Car Museum − took part with a preview of the “The Golden Age of Rally” exhibition, a journey across the history of this sporting discipline focusing on models which, between the 1960s and 1990s, won the most important races of the championship − from Montecarlo to the Rally Safari, from the Mille Laghi in Finland to Sanremo. But in the weeks that followed, the car won no less than 6 out of 13 races. The 125 S debuted on the Piacenza circuit in 1947 and, in the words of Enzo Ferrari, it was a “promising failure” due to a defect which forced Franco Cortese to bow out.
